Manaw Thitar was the first company to be founded in 1996 under the Shwe Byain Phyu (SBP) Group of Companies, a leading force in Myanmar’s petroleum trade. It was founded by the great vision of its current Chairman U Thein Win Zaw. Manaw Thitar commenced its operation in Yangon by trading and distributing petroleum products with a 6-by-1 barge and 3 tank trucks. SBP group is made up of wholly family owned private companies.
Since its humble beginnings, SBP has made significant contributions to Myanmar’s development in various sectors: petroleum trading, commodity trading, marine products, and manufacturing. Currently, SBP’s focus is the import and distribution of petroleum throughout the country. Our main focus lies in the private sector. Today, SBP is one of Myanmar’s top ten tax contribution companies, with 20 years of business experience and a united workforce of over 2000 employees.
