Job Description

EXERA is looking for a skilled security analyst to complement its Risk Management team. Under the management of the Head of Department, the analyst will have to: 

  • Monitor very closely the news about Myanmar safety and security (armed clashes, trafficking, crime, social stability, international relations, etc.) 
  • Produce a Weekly and Monthly Security review, as well as flash notices for urgent matters 
  • Feed and maintain our in-house database of incidents 
  • Produce ad-hoc reports on safety and security in specific areas of Myanmar

  • Excellent communication skills. The analyst must be comfortable giving phone calls to officials, informers, journalists and navigating Myanmar administration. 
  • Resourcefulness and research skills: the analyst must be able to find any information within a short time; to know who to contact for specific information; he/she must have an extensive knowledge of Myanmar media landscape and online resources 
  • Excellent command of English and Myanmar language, 4 skills (including typing in Myanmar on computer) 
  • Excellent command of computer tools: Office and Internet tools are a must; other software (Adobe, etc.) will be a plus
